About Me

I am the Senior Pastor at LifePoint Church in Smyrna, TN. I’ve been married to my best friend, Amy, for 23 years. We have two sons, Seth & Zac, and two little girls, Jady & Alyza Kate. We adopted Jadyn from China in May of 2007 & Aly Kate from Ethiopia in June of 2009.

Two of my greatest passions in life are loving my wife & kids and leading God’s people to totally abandon their lives to His. That’s why I started pathood.org. I want to challenge you to not be satisfied with the safe & tame world of Sunday School answers that provides an excuse for us not to think too deeply about the depth & complexity of our awesome God.

I tend to be a Biblical literalist. In other words, I believe the Bible is the literal Word of God that contains absolute truth on every page. You fundy’s out there are probably shouting a big “AAAAMEN.” But, when when talk about what Gods Word really says, not what a lot of people think it says, some of you fundy's are going to disagree & think I've lost my mind. At the same time, you flaming liberals are probably going to write me off as a simple-minded legalist. So, this ought to be fun…at least for some of us.
