We made it to Guangzhou late last night...didn't get into our hotel room until about 11:30 pm, which made for a long day since we had to check out of our hotel in Changsha at 2:00 pm & our flight didn't leave for GZ until 8:00 pm. That 6 hours of hanging our trying to find something to keep a 2.5 year old occupied. But, he was a trooper. Never cried one time. Started to cry when we got on the plane & Amy started buckling him in his seat...wanted nothing to do with that. I told Amy to hold him until they told her not too. Luckily, Chinese regulations must not be as tough as US regulations because they said nothing about him sitting on Amy's lap.
We awoke early this morning to take Isaiah to get his medical examination. It was rough to say the least. He had to have 6 shots & a TB skin test, all required by the United States Immigration Service. It took Amy, a nurse & me to hold him down while another nurse stuck needles in each arm & each leg as he screamed loud I'm surprised it didn't wake you up in America. After all he's been through, I think it was more fear than pain.
We're here in GZ until Friday & then head to Hong Kong where we fly out Saturday morning. We love this country, especially since two of our children are Chinese American. But, we're ready to get home. It's sort of like Pizza, the first few pieces are great, but if you eat 5 or 6 pieces you're going to get sick. We're quickly approaching piece 6 and still have a week to go.
I'll post pics soon...
